We all know caffeine keeps us awake, but did you know that experts advise your last cuppa is at least 2 hrs before you go to bed. That way you can ensure most of its stimulant effect is out of your system and doesn’t interfere with you trying to nod off.  I can’t cope without a hot drink at night so have switched to a cup of soothing chamomile instead.  It’s mildly sedative and is know to help calm worried minds.  No wonder its nickname is ‘night-time tea’.
