Ah, smell that fresh mint? The garden is full of it right now and it packs a powerful punch when it comes to both adding flavour and keeping us healthy. So we thought it deserves a moment in the spotlight. Great for helping with everything from digestion through to settling nausea. It’s even been proven to help reduce memory loss.
Here’s a simple Moroccan Style Mint to have by your side on hot summer days:In a teapot, combine two teaspoons of green leaf tea with half a litre of boiling water. Allow it to steep for at least 10 mins. Without stirring, filter the mixture into a steel pot or pan, so that the tea leaves are removed. Add sugar to taste and bring to boil over a medium heat (this helps the sugar dissolve). Decant in to a teapot to serve, adding a generous handful of crushed mint leaves either to the pot, or directly to the cups.
