The night before Christmas

The night before Christmas by Kiss the Moon

We’ve got a confession to make – we love the night before Christmas even more than the day itself. Once everyone is in for the night, the fire is on and the home is full of twinkles – it’s a special kind of cosy.

This year we’ll be popping open a bottle of red, lining up a decent film and eating something simple and warming while curled up on the sofa (I’m thinking a generous helping of macaroni cheese with lots of crispy bits on top).  We asked some of the brilliant people that we’ve had the privilege of working with this year what they’ll be doing on Christmas Eve. This is what they told us…

The Night before Christmas by Kiss the MoonThanks to Graham for the amazing Kiss the Moon photos that we’ve been using all year. And to Jo for styling our world so beautifully (and for taking the time to handmade those glitter Christmas decorations – they’ve taken pride of place on our tree this year.) See more of their work here or treat yourself to a copy of Abigail Ahern’s brilliant interior design book, Colour to see Graham’s skills at their finest.

The Night before Christmas by Kiss the Moon Yoga queen Sophie and owner of Stretch London created a pre-bedtime yoga routine for us earlier in the year. The perfect way to relax those muscles and smooth away tensions on an evening. Check out the Bedtime Blog post here and give them a go.

The night before Christmas by Kiss the Moon Healthy eating and clever cooking guru Madeleine Shaw needs little introduction. We were thrilled to work together earlier this year on a completion to win her recipe book, Get the Glow. Read the guest blog she wrote for us back in June for suggestions on what to eat to help start and end each day right.

The Night Before ChristmasCashmere anyone?  We thought so. British knitwear designer and manufacturer Row Pinto made the some beautiful sleep accessories for us to give as special gifts to the press and beauty bloggers. She also made the gorgeous cashmere and silk eye masks which we’ve included in our CALM Beauty Sleep Set. The silk was printed in our cream Kiss the Moon design by the Glasgow School of Art. It’s lovely to be working with great British crafts people to create gorgeous things for bedtime. (You can buy the Beauty Sleep Set in our Gift of Sleep section of our online store – while stocks last.)

The Night before Christmas by Kiss the Moon How beautiful is this tree? Of course, you’d expect it to be as it belongs to Jane Rockett, co-owner of stylish homewear store, Rockett St George. It’s one of our favourite places to shop so we were over the moon (ha ha) when they asked if they could stock our After Dark Bath Oils & Pillow Mists. We think they fit in perfectly. See if you agree by having a browse at rockettstgeorge.co.uk or by popping in to their pop up store in Oasis, Argyll Street. London W1 this Christmas.

Thank you lovely people for helping make our first year a great one.  Here’s to more adventures together in 2016.
