Our Story

Our journey started in 2014 when Jo Foster began the search for a natural way to improve her own sleep patterns that had been turned upside down by jetlag. On uncovering that the same part of our brain that controls sleep also manages our sense of smell, Jo realised that aromatherapy held the key. She created four signature essential oil blends that help you relax at bedtime and also care for your skin while you are sleeping. Kiss the Moon was born.

Five years on, Kiss the Moon has now grown to a happy team of six and a product range of over 30 SKUs ranging from night-time skincare, bath & body treats and home fragrance

Our Space

In 2019 we put down roots at The Stables at Sedbury Hall alongside other boutique local businesses. Upstairs our team den and packing area is where we fulfil online and retailer orders. Downstairs you’ll find our Beauty Sleep store and event space. Our in-store display changes with the seasons, taking inspiration from the nature that surrounds us. Our friendly team are on hand to greet you with a smile, guide you through the Kiss the Moon range and gift wrap your purchases.

Our monthly programme of after-hours events gathers people together to explore new ways to unwind and allows us to showcase the talents of other local wellness professionals. This month it’s DIY hand reflexology with guest speaker Kathy Scott from Ginger Tree Beauty. Next month - stress management techniques.

Planet Friendly

We’ve always done our best to tread lightly on the planet. Everything we make is 100% natural (ECOCERT standard), cruelty free (Leaping Bunny Approved) & suitable for vegans. We buy our ingredients from sustainable sources and work with other small-scale UK based makers to create our products. Our packaging in the main is recyclable glass and with minimal use of plastics

Getting Noticed

We are pleased as punch to have won over 30 awards in the five years since we launched. This includes the prestigious Best British Beauty Brand at the 2016 Pure Beauty Awards.  In the last 12 months we’ve had 33 award successes – including 7 for our Night Cream for Hands. So far in 2020 we've picked up our most recent gongs at the 2020 Beauty Bible Awards and the Beauty Shortlist for our GLOW Pure Essential Oil Soap. (We’re so proud.)
