THE STORY BEHIND OUR SOAPS
Each soap is made by hand using traditional methods, simply but beautifully wrapped in compostable glassine paper, helping us all avoid unwanted plastic bottles and pumps
We think a beautiful bar of soap beats liquid soap hands down. We’ve worked with the oldest soap maker in the UK, DROYT, to create these traditional style glycerine soaps with the added luxury of our four relaxing essential oil blends.
Take a sneak peek behind some of the traditional processes involved
DROYT'S machinery was brought over from Germany in 1937 and is over 100 years old but is still used every day
The soap is left to cure and dry on special racks, making sure it won't 'sweat' and lose weight after it's wrapped and headed for stores
The formula for DROYT glycerine soap was first developed in 1907. We have kept to this original recipe adding in only our beautiful essential oil blends
Each bar is hand cut and then stamped with the Kiss the Moon logo
Before being polished and then wrapped in compostable glassine paper
Not only are they gentle on the skin, they contain no artificial chemicals, require no plastic packaging. They even do their bit to help conserve water (as they lather and rinse away readily less water is needed). So, as well as smelling amazing, they are kinder to the planet as well as to the skin
