BABY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE
There's no avoiding the ❄️ ❄️ arctic cold spell this week. Here are a few tips to help you fall asleep more quickly and to avoid shivering in bed in the early hours when the temperature reaches is lowest:
Have a bath just before you go to bed
This will warm you up but as you step out of the bath it is the cold air and the drop in body temperature that will make you feel sleepy
Pop on a pair of soft bed socks
The extra layer under the covers can help improve circulation. We've got some lovely pairs in store from brightly coloured recycled wool to these super cute 'eye' socks. Fin them in the SLEEP ACCESSORIES section of our shop
Hot water bottles work a treat
Hot water bottles work a treat to take the chill off when you first get into bed but then cools down as you sleep and leaves it to your body to maintain its own temperature. Try our cashmere covered mini bottle for an extra night-time cuddle
Layer up with blankets
Layer up with blankets to maintain a constant temperature throughout the night. It's also easier to remove if you get too hot in the night
Do you have any suggestions you can share that have helped you get off to sleep when the temperature drops?
